The Best of Design: HPAD Continues to Innovate

After an unexpected and turbulent 2020, we want to celebrate the good by highlighting all the ways our design teams continue to excel, innovate, and achieve success, despite the circumstances.

Our talented and dedicated designers have worked tirelessly over this past year to adjust to ongoing industry developments, new demands, and unforeseen turns, so we’re truly thankful to have been recognized for the work they’ve done, and for all our partners and clients who’ve joined us on the unbelievable journey that was 2020.

ASID Design Ovation and Celebrate Texas

We love being a part of the ASID national community and Texas chapter. Belonging to a network of individuals and studios that advance the interior design profession and communicate the impact of design on the human experience is what we strive for with every project.

To kick off the 2021 awards year, we are thrilled to announce that we earned first place and coveted Best in Show for Ascend at Tamarron in Katy, Texas.

We were also incredibly honored to earn first place at ASID Celebrate Texas for the timeless and classic design of Jefferson Woodlands in Garland, Texas.

Honored with three awards for projects completed in the Southeast region, West Vue earned top spot in the On the Boards Mixed Use or Multifamily Community category. Two of our other winners were Jefferson Mockingbird in Dallas and Mag & May in Fort Worth, taking silver or second place for Best Interior Merchandising Community Amenity or Clubhouse.

Multi-Housing News

This is the first year we entered our work into the Multi-Housing News Excellence Awards program. This annual MHN Excellence Awards program recognizes the multifamily industry’s most noteworthy people, companies and properties. The Lyndon at Springtown in San Marcos, Texas earned gold in the Interior Design category and Octave, another student housing development, also took home gold in the Best Design and Development category for overall design regarding architecture, curb appeal, space planning, unit layouts and more.

Another major milestone arose from our submission to the National Association of Home Builder’s Pillars of the Industry awards which represents all aspects of the industry across the country. In 2020, our team received the top spot for Ascend at Bridges in the Best Interior Merchandising of a Leasing or Sales Center.

More Recognition

Other forms of recognition include our University of Houston student living community, Tower 5040, as a finalist in the Houston Business Journal Landmark Awards. It was also voted as the Best Off-Campus Apartment by students in CoogLife Magazine, the university’s student publication.
