Judges for the 2022 Gold Nugget Awards have named 9th Avenue North winner of the Grand Award for Best-on-the-Boards category. This project earned the top spot on June 22 in San Francisco and follows the annual PCBC Summer Tradeshow and Conference.
“It’s incredibly rewarding for us to have this project recognized with the Grand Gold Nugget Award. We appreciate the judges for honoring 9th Avenue and recognizing the value and opportunity it will bring to the residents and community of Nashville,” Chelsea Dora-Shibley stated, President of Interior Design.
We are thrilled to be a part of this project as it is one of many that are revolutionizing the multifamily industry. Named the Micro Stak, this unique building type not only provides a lower density site plan but also micro units with floor plans that surrender excess square footage for a single, young professional demographic.
Though the units may be scaled-down, they’re packed with functionality, storage, and natural light. The interior design team was challenged to tackle the space planning and propose a design scheme to show how the units can be thoughtfully lived in.
To achieve this, the designers first opened up the space with and added a visual boundary with a flow-through partition that can double as shelves. They aligned the kitchen to the wall and enlarged the bathroom with a free-standing shower. A hanging arm that supports flat screen tv’s can swivel to be viewed from bed or the living area. Additionally, box bay windows lead out to a small balcony, offering an alternative retreat.
Estimated delivery date is Fall of 2022.
